May 2018 Brooklyn NY

May 16th through the 20th 2018.
Floyd Bennett Field National Park Brooklyn NY

We all arrived to Jamaica Bay Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn on Thursday morning the weather was beautiful and we decided to launch after setting up camp. We were on the water by about 2 and fish till 6 that evening. Little did we know that this would be the last day of fishing for that time we were there.

We awoke Friday to find it pouring rain. after checking out the radar and the weather reports we realize that we probably would not be able to fish that day. we all convinced ourselves that the weather would get better maybe Saturday maybe Sunday we would be able to fish. Yeah that worked out really good we got to sit around and talk and bullshitted for 3 days.

A couple of the great things that happened during the three days was that the Rat Pack guys drop by and didn’t realize that we were there. asked us if we were coming back next year the same week and we told him that that we were and they said that they would love to get together with us do some fishing and have a party. We also made a couple from Germany, that were traveling from Chile to Massachusetts in a Unimog.

Although we did not to get to do all that much fishing. it was great to see all my friends and for the first outing of the year to catch up and see what everybody else was doing.
